Americans on social media have been left in stitches after they watched a hilarious video of Donald Trump putting in a shift at McDonalds.

The former President worked at the fast-food chain in Pennsylvania on Sunday to meet voters and take shots at Vice President Kamala Harris, who said she worked at one during her college years.

Footage showed Trump meeting staff and saying: “I would like to serve some french fries.”

The former President was seen cooking, scooping french fries, and handing out meals at the drive-through window in his latest campaign stunt.

“I’ve now worked for 15 minutes more than Kamala at McDonald’s,” Trump cheekily said through the drive-thru window as he handed out the orders.

The stunt appeared to mock Trump’s rival Kamala Harris, who has often drawn attention to the fact that she worked at a McDonald’s in Alameda, California to try and draw in working-class voters.

LATEST DEVELOPMENTS:

Donald Trump has recently claimed that this is a “lie,” despite having no evidence to back that claim.

On Drew Barrymore’s talk show earlier this year, Harris told the actor: “I did fries. And then I did the cashier.”

As a presidential candidate in 2019, Harris mentioned her work at the fast-food chain while joining striking McDonald’s workers on the picket line.

Fans flocked to social media to discuss the footage with many finding the image of Trump behind the counter very funny.

One fan said: “Trump is now serving customers at the McDonald’s drive-thru. You couldn’t make a TV show this good.”

Another penned: “President Trump is now working the drive-through at McDonald’s I can’t believe this is real. How can you not love this man?”

Whilst a third wrote: “Donald Trump wishes Kamala happy birthday while working at the McDonald’s drive-thru This is going to be in the history books for sure.”

US Political commentator Eric Ham told GB News that it was an “endearing stunt” but revealed that it was in fact fake.

He said: “The McDonald’s was actually closed and these weren’t real customers.

“But again, it’s given the fact that right now it’s all about outreach and getting people out to vote. This was certainly a stunt that had legs, and it certainly has gone viral.”

He added: “We know that Donald Trump is a huge, huge fan of fast food, particularly McDonald’s. Right? So I think this was just Donald Trump just trying to get closer to what we know he already loved.

“So again, I think it’s something that people, people will actually find endearing, quite surprisingly, about Donald Trump, because we do know how much he enjoys fast food, especially McDonald’s.”
