A garden centre about half an hour from Bristol has announced its ‘magical’ Christmas shop full of festive displays and decorations will be returning this year. Cadbury Garden Centre in North Somerset has said it is starting to put together its Christmas display already.

The decades-old garden centre in Congresbury has said the full display will be up by November, adding it will hold a special ‘Christmas shopping event’ on Friday, November 29 from 5pm to 8pm. The free event will feature festive music, with attendees being given a glass of mulled wine and a mince pie.

It wrote on Facebook: “Join us for an exclusive Christmas shopping event to explore our stunning Christmas 2024 collections.

“You’ll be greeted with a complimentary glass of mulled wine and a delicious mince pie. Find all your Christmas essentials, from festive food to gifts and decorations, all in one place.”

The garden centre, which had a major refurbishment in 2022, is popular for its gardening range as well as its cafe, farm shop and soft play. Last year’s display at the store was described as “magical”.

The store will also be hosting a Santa’s Grotto, at £14.50 per child. It said: “Create memories this Christmas with a festive visit to Santa’s traditional Christmas Grotto.

“Share a Christmas wish and capture the magic with a keepsake photograph. On arrival, children will plant a magic bean, and then watch in awe as Santa magically transforms it into a real mini-Christmas tree.

“Every child will also receive a special gift from the big man himself.”
