Bristol Hippodrome has unveiled the panto stars for its circus-themed Christmas show. Earlier this year, it was announced that TV and musical theatre star and comedian Brian Conley will lead this year’s cast of Goldilocks and the Three Bears.

The show runs from Saturday, December 7, 2024 through until Sunday, January 5, 2025. The full cast line-up has been announced today (Thursday), including X Factor semi-finalist, Loose Woman star and actress and television personality Brenda Edwards, who will join Brian in the Big Top as circus singer, Candy Floss.

Bristol Hippdrome said: “Brenda’s professional career started when she was the last woman standing in the 2005 season of The X Factor. Since The X Factor Brenda has gone on to take the musical theatre world by storm, playing roles in Chicago, We Will Rock You, Carousel and Hairspray.

“This year has seen Brenda direct the new UK tour of Hairspray, and last summer Brenda starred in We Will Rock You at the London Coliseum as the Killer Queen. Brenda has also been a popular face on TV as a regular on ITV’s daytime panel show Loose Women.”

For five weeks, Bristol Hippodrome will be transformed into a sensational circus, where everything is possible, and anything could happen. This festive extravaganza will be packed with riotous comedy, extraordinary special effects, hair-raising stunts, and awe-inspiring circus acts.

Goldilocks’ circus is under threat from an evil rival circus owner and, with the help of their madcap circus friends, they’re battling to rescue their Big Top from ruin. Will they succeed? All seems lost, until three brilliant bears join the gang.
