Road closures in Derry due to gas leak

Road users are advised of a number of road closures in place this afternoon in Londonderry due to a gas leak in the Collon Lane area.

Racecourse Road is closed at its junctions with the Buncrana Road and Carnhill.

Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service teams are at the scene.

People are asked to avoid the area.

Delays due to fire in west Belfast

Police are advising motorists to expect delays this afternoon as the Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service deals with a report of a fire in the Thames Street area of West Belfast. 
Drivers are asked to please seek alternative routes for their journey.

M1 crash

There has been a road traffic collision in Lane 1 of the M1 country-bound just before the Stockmans Lane off-slip. 
Drivers are advised to slow down and approach with caution until the road is cleared.

Delays after crash on Co Down road

There is traffic disruption on the Ballysallagh Road, Bangor at its junction with the Crawfordsburn Road due to a road traffic collision. Local diversions are in place. However, the PSNI has advised to seek an alternative route for your journey if possible.

UPDATE: The Ballysallagh Road, Bangor has re-opened following an earlier road traffic collision.

Update: Bangor road reopens after crash

The Bloomfield Road in Bangor, which was closed to traffic in both directions due to a road traffic collision, has since reopened.
Diversions had been in place this afternoon at Gransha Road, Sunningdale Road and Bloomfield Road South.

Emergency lane closure

Update: The lanes referenced below have now reopened and traffic returned to normal.

There is an emergency double lane closure on Garmoyle Street on Monday morning due to a collapsed manhole.
There are resulting delays for citybound traffic along Whitla Street and Duncrue Street.

Six-vehicle crash on Belfast motorway

The M5 in north Belfast is closed between Greencastle and Rushpark following a six-vehicle road traffic collision.
The M2 north-bound remains open.
Emergency services are attending the incident and road users are advised to seek an alternative route.

Sydenham Bypass closure

In east Belfast, the A2 Sydenham Bypass is closed for road works from Tillysburn Junction to Dee Street and is down to one lane from Victoria Park to past Belfast City Airport.
Delays are expected and road users are asked to plan their journey and leave extra time.
The closure is in place over the weekend until 6am on Monday as part of the planned schedule.
