An Amazon delivery driver has been caught on camera apparently threatening to shoot and kill a customer and his dog.

Footage from a security camera in Kansas City shows the moment the driver, out delivering car parts, greeted the homeowner at his door.

Upon hearing a dog barking in the background, the driver can be seen shaking his head as he issued a stern warning not to let the animal out.

Despite the resident’s assurances that the dog was safely inside with his girlfriend, the situation soon escalated.

Several commentators urged the homeowner to reach out to Amazon – as well as the police – over the incident

The delivery driver threatened to kill the dog, prompting the homeowner to respond in kind with his own threat.

In the clip, the Amazon employee declared: “I’ll f**king kill it,” referring to the dog.

The homeowner retorted: “Look, man, I’ll kill you before you kill my dog.”

Undeterred, the driver escalated his threat, saying: “I’d shoot the f**k out of you and your dog, bro.”

Though the front-door fracas appeared to subside momentarily, a later video clip appeared to show the driver challenging the resident to release the dog to “see what happens”.

After the footage was uploaded to social media, it went viral – and has attracted thousands of incredulous comments.

Several commentators urged the homeowner to reach out to Amazon – as well as the police.

One said: “Call the police. That was a threat. I’d be pressing charges since he thinks he could say that to you,” while another added: “Please send this to corporate. If you get his name, drop it.”

One even joked: “Should have pretended to bark at him so he would’ve clutched his pearls.”

Others drew attention to the driver’s apparent nonchalance despite the war of words – pointing out how he apparently “just casually took the picture” of the parcel after threatening the homeowner.

But it wasn’t all unity – one social media user defended the driver’s response, saying: “People who have never worked in delivery, it shows! Y’all never been bitten a TON of times because people let their dogs out like this. Good for him for standing up [for himself]!”
