‘Africa Adapting’ is a powerful new exhibition from charity Self Help Africa, it aims to highlight challenges faced by women and girls across Africa, in the context of the climate crisis. Through personal narratives the photographs illustrate how women and girls get information, science, market opportunities and mobilise their communities to respond to the climate crisis and other challenges. One of these challenges is access to a healthy diet, World Food Day is on 16 October and more than 2.8 billion people are unable to afford a healthy diet. Globally, one in eleven people faced hunger in 2023. The free exhibition is on from Tuesday 15 October to Friday 18 October, from 9am – 5pm, at Queen’s University Belfast, School of Biological Sciences.
