McDonald’s has unveiled several new items as part of its latest menu revamp, scheduled for October 16 and some fan favourites are returning. The fast food giant regularly introduces new items to its ever-expanding menu, which also means bidding farewell to others.
This Halloween, McDonald’s is offering a variety of treats for its fans, from savoury burgers to sweet delights and even a rare revamp of the classic breakfast menu. The revamp introduces four new options to the menu.
One that has already made headlines and has fans eagerly awaiting their next McDonald’s breakfast is the Mini Hash Brown Bites. These are smaller versions of the beloved breakfast side dish and have already proven to be a hit.
They are available in a five-pack or a 15-piece box intended for sharing. McDonald’s occasionally switches up the cheese side order, with classics coming and going.
However, this season, McDonald’s is experimenting with Cheese and Caramelised Onion Bites, served with barbecue Dip. The McCafe range is introducing another round of newness just in time for the winter weather with a Toasted Marshmallow Latte for £2.59, topped with whipped cream and a toasted marshmallow-flavoured dusting, reports the Express.
There’s the toasted marshmallow hot chocolate for those with a sweeter tooth. The McRib is also making a highly anticipated return – a pork patty drenched in barbecue sauce and topped with pickles and onions.
Fans would have last been able to order one nearly a decade ago. McDonald’s UK had a bit of a blunder earlier this month when a glitch on their app sent out a “McRib_Test_Notification,” to millions of users, along with the date October 16, sparking rumours.
Thomas O’Neill, Head of Menu at McDonald’s UK, said: “It is more than just a sandwich; it’s a phenomenon. We have heard our fans loud and clear – the fan petitions and pleas on social media -and after almost a decade of anticipation, we are thrilled to bring back this iconic menu item.”
Another returning favourite is the McCrispy Deluxe – a chicken burger with a crunchy coating, topped with hot and spicy mayo, caramelised onion compote, seasonal lettuce, bacon, red onions, and a slice of cheddar cheese, all in a sourdough-style bun.
McDonald’s is also reintroducing three sweet treats: the Halloween M&Ms and Galaxy Caramel options, which have been long-awaited returns to the McFlurry machine. Also making a comeback is the Toffee Apple Pie.
With a crispy pastry filled with a spiced apple compote, toffee sauce and toffee pieces, McDonald’s UK is truly bringing the vibes this cosy season. Here’s a full breakdown of the prices for each item:
- Cheese and Caramelised Onion Bites – £2.49 (5 pieces); £6.79 (Sharebox / 15 pieces)
- Toasted Marshmallow Latte – £2.59
- Toasted Marshmallow Hot Chocolate (Only available in Large) – £2.19

The new range comes as another McDonald’s favourite leaves the menu. The classic Monopoly game ends at 11.59pm on October 16 meaning fans have just days to pick up any stickers they need as they won’t be on packaging after this date.
