Passengers flying from Belfast City Airport have been advised about the new security arrangements around liquids and electronics following a £3m upgrade which has been completed at the airport.
The airport confirmed work to significantly enhance security checks has now finished and it means some changes for what those flying need to do.
What are the new rules around electronics?
Before the upgrade, laptops and other electronics would have been required to have been taken out of cabin baggage as they proceeded through security.
However, the City Airport confirmed large electronic devices can now be kept in any baggage.
What are the new rules with liquids?
Previously passengers would have been used to separating out their liquids from their bags.
Now however liquids, gels, and pastes, including toiletries and cosmetics, up to 100ml can all be kept within cabin baggage through security.

“Passengers will no longer be required to remove electronic devices and liquids, gels and pastes under 100ml, from their cabin baggage, streamlining the process and ensuring our passengers can move through the terminal as quickly and easily as possible.
