Richie Murphy says the aim is to make life difficult for his son Ben

“Derby weekend is very different. There’s a lot to play for today.” – Richie Murphy.

“It’s really important we give the home crowd something to cheer about.”

“Ben has obviously had a big influence on Connacht’s game over the last few weeks. We want to try and slow down that ball and make his life difficult.”

Interestingly, the Ulster line-up below includes seven changes from last week’s defeat to the Bulls in Pretoria, with Head Coach Richie Murphy opting to freshen things up.

Fresh from Emerging Ireland duty, Jude Postlethwaite is one of the exciting inclusions in their line-up.

Good evening!

Ravenhill is ready for the clash of Connacht and Ulster in their inter-provincial URC bout. Connacht are in fine form with two wins in their first three games with Ulster having one win so far.

Richie Murphy’s side will be looking to get back to winning ways after last week’s loss to the Bulls in Pretoria, and one of the interesting aspects of tonight’s dual is that his son Ben is in opposition, playing scrum half for Connacht.

Kick off is at 8.00, live on BBC2.
