Distinct trends are a bit of a fallacy these days, as things come in and out of favour almost as quickly as an influencer can create a new TikTok for it.
But this fall, there are a few colours that seem to be making big, splashy waves. Maybe it’s because they feel fresher than ever, but hey, we’ll take it.

If you only choose one colour to go big on this fall, make it burgundy — or merlot, cabernet. Whatever you call it, or whichever shade you opt for, maroon is rich, cozy and oh so perfect for the cooler months. Dark grey is more what we’re used to when it comes to autumnal hues, and this cutaway blazer is a sharp, smart option for the season. We especially love its slightly fitted shape — a refreshing alternative to the oversized, mannish versions we’ve seen over the past few years. Team with the co-ordinating trousers, or pair with black pants or even denim for a cool mix-and-match approach to suiting.

JOE FRESH WOMEN+ CAR COAT
Among the sea of black, navy blue and dark grey we expect to see this fall, sky blue will really pop. And while there’s definitely something a bit wintery about the shade — like an illustrated snowflake, perhaps? — it does feel a bit more unique this year. Case in point: this Women+ car coat, which features welt pockets and a single button closure for a streamlined, clean look.

Can it really be that ‘Brat summer’ isn’t over? Yes: Charli XCX’s effect seems to have aligned perfectly with the runways at Gucci, Alexander McQueen, Chloe and Ferragamo, which all showed pieces in olive, chartreuse and slime green.
