Escape to the Chateau star Angel Adoree made a candid admission about the early days of her relationship with Dick Strawbridge and branded him “naughty”.
The couple were back on their podcast – Dick and Angel… Chat-eau – this week and were discussing Strawbridge’s trip to the UK to visit The Royal Corps of Signals, where he served in the army.
After discussing some of the memories which came flooding back and the impact that time in his life had on Strawbridge, talk turned to their relationship and one particular event which left Adoree red-faced.
“Do you remember going to the beating retreat in London,” Strawbridge asked, leaving Adoree to reply: “I do. First of all, I felt quite grown up, that possibly is the only exposure I have had.”
Strawbridge interjected and admitted: “It was at the Chelsea barracks and we went along and you were looking absolutely gorgeous.
“I am sure… I have to be careful with what I say, I was being naughty. I was being quite naughty there because there were a lot of senior people around the place.”

Revealing how “naughty” Strawbridge was, Adoree explained: “And this was the early days that we were just together, I was living in London still so that, where we weregeographically reminds us that we werein the first year of our relationship.
“I remember sort of thinking that you know, ‘I must dress quite elegantly’. I wore a vintage gold dress and it went ways past my knees and very elegant stockings, I had a cape on as well.
“But I think it doesn’t matter how you dress because I have got red hair and red lipstick I think people just… I just remember none of the ladies wanted to make eye contact with me!”
“And all the blokes wanted to come and chat to me ‘Where did you find this one?’, nudge nudge wink wink,” Strawbridge joked.

Adoree continued: “And you were being so naughty, you kept slapping my bottom really hard. You were absolutely like…
“You were kind of trying to wind everyone up. It made everyone feel a little bit uncomfortable.”
Defending his actions, Strawbridge admitted: “Life is too serious and having the young lass with the red lippy on, the stocking and the high heels, slapping her bum is what you do.
“We had a lovely evening. The two of us have laughed an awful lot about the things we do together and the time we have together, and it is interesting.

“We’re 20 years difference, the crusty colonel and the young girl, it is such an odd story.”
