A vehicle hit speeds of over 110mph on the hard shoulder of the M4 during a dramatic police chase. It was spotted by officers between 1pm and 2pm on Tuesday, October 1.

The vehicle was followed through Yatton Keynell, Castle Combe, Acton Turville, Old Sodbury and then back to junction 18 of the M4. A police pursuit followed before it was seen travelling at over 110mph on the hard shoulder before exiting at junction 18.

Officers eventually stung the vehicle and it stopped in Hullavington. Both occupants were arrested at the scene.

The driver, a man in his 30s was arrested for dangerous driving, failing to stop, possession of cocaine and drug driving. He has been released under investigation pending blood results.

The passenger, a 16-year-old girl was arrested on suspicion of possession of a Class A drug. She has been released on bail.
