Nu Dehli Lounge in Belfast city centre has won big the Asian Restaurant & Takeaway Awards (ARTA) 2024.

This year’s awards took place at London’s Royal Lancaster, where Nu Dehli Lounge was recognised as the best Asian restaurant in Northern Ireland.

Nu Dehli Lounge owner Naz Din said they were honoured to receive the award.

“We are absolutely chuffed to be walking away from the 2024 ARTA Awards with the unbelievable Restaurant Of The Year Award for a third time,” he said.

“It is such an honour to even be nominated for such a prestigious award. To walk away with the award three years in a row is such a testament to our team’s continued dedication to service and quality.

“We accept this award on behalf of our entire team and our amazing customers that keep our restaurant thriving year after year.”

ARTA promotes the art of cooking while recognising other areas in the hospitality industry, such as exceptional service or restaurant management.

Restaurant customers are at the heart of the award with over 950,000 food lovers voting for their favourite local Asian restaurants across the UK every year.

The ARTAs are the most prestigious celebration of Pan Asian cuisine in the UK, honouring Asian restaurants all over the UK.

ARTA founder Mohammed Munim said: “Congratulations to all the winners and finalists of ARTA 2024 – the Pan Asian restaurants, takeaways, and chefs who continue to stand as pillars of excellence in the UK’s hospitality industry.

“As the original and premier awards ceremony dedicated to celebrating the best of the UK’s Asian restaurant and takeaway sector, we honour your unwavering commitment and passion, which continue to bring unparalleled flavours and experiences to diners across the nation, even in the face of adversity.

“This industry is not just about food; it represents the beauty and strength of multiculturalism in the UK. ARTA 2024 celebrates you, the champions of this journey, for your enduring contribution to our culinary landscape.”
