Don’t text and drive in the rain while livestreaming yourself in a high-end vehicle.
That’s the lesson that might have been learned by YouTube and Kick streaming platform personality Jack Doherty, who totalled his $200,000 McLaren supercar after apparently texting and driving in the rain.
Video footage of Doherty’s Kick stream shows the 20-year-old internet star looking down at his hand as he drove along a slippery Miami highway on Saturday morning.
Moments later, he lost control of the vehicle and screamed as he glided across the right lane, smashing into a guardrail.
The video on the streaming platform then goes white, and his cameraman in the passenger seat can be heard groaning in pain.
The pair can be heard struggling to exit the wrecked vehicle. One of them cried out: “Open the door! Open the door!”
The footage shows Doherty as he examined the wrecked custom-painted vehicle. The social media star, shirtless in the clip, kicked his mangled whip twice.
“All my money’s gone,” Doherty can be heard saying before listing the upgrades he shelled out big bucks for on the vehicle, including a custom exhaust system and its paintball-gun-splatter paint job.

Doherty purchased the McLaren at the end of last year for around $203,000, according to his YouTube channel.
There were 185,000 people in Doherty’s livestream at the time of the crash, according to Sportskeeda.
Doherty’s cameraman reportedly sustained minor injuries in the crash. He had blood dripping down his face afterward, according to TMZ.
The two men went to the hospital, where the cameraman received stitches.
Kick has since banned Doherty from the platform, the New York Postreported.
