It features golden sandy beaches encircled by crystal-clear waters, alongside a rich culture and superb food and drink – ensuring there’s something here to suit everyone’s tastes.

Boa Vista is another favourite spot, renowned for its golden sands and laid-back atmosphere.

The island boasts some of the archipelago’s most stunning beaches, with the sands stretching for 55km. Here, you can opt to unwind by the water or engage in watersports if you’re feeling more adventurous.

The same diversity extends to the accommodation options in Boa Vista, offering the allure of poolside relaxation one day, and a plethora of activities the next.

When not on the coast, make sure to explore inland to witness desert-like landscapes and even the occasional ruins of a deserted village. The main town of the island, Sal Rei, is located in the north-west and is gradually becoming a hub for more eateries and bars, as well as featuring some fascinating architectural landmarks.
