Amazon Prime Day is the retail giant’s huge sale bonanza where thousands of prices are cut in price. While this week’s Big Deal Days sale event kickstarts this Tuesday, October 8 it won’t be the cheapest place to buy three of the retailer’s best-selling tech devices.

The Fire TV Stick, Echo Pop, and Echo Dot speaker are huge hit sellers and despite being curated by Amazon, shoppers will want to ditch the Prime site for a lesser known retailer this week. As it’ll get you the Alexa voice-remote Fire TV Stick for £1.64, an Echo Dot for £7.51 and the latest Echo Pop for £4.57...all less than the price of your favourite takeaway drink.

So, how are these prices possible? Well it’s thanks to two main things, Amazon’s decision to cut prices early and deals site TopCashback, when combined shoppers will get a saving currently not found anywhere else as our shopping team can explain.

The Fire TV Stick, Amazon’s HDMI plug-in answer to turn TVs smart, shoppers can pair it’s current 62% off deal with TopCashback’s £15 offer for new members. To do this, shoppers need to create or signup with Topcashback, head over to the search bar and type in Amazon. From here buy your chosen Fire Stick, Echo Pop, or Echo Dot as normal through TCB’s redirected link.

Initially shoppers will pay Amazon’s current sale price (so £16.99 for the Fire TV Stick) but after seven days £15 cashback will appear in consumers’ accounts – bringing the price down to an eye-wateringly cheap £1.64. Outside of Prime sales this exact same Fire Stick costs shoppers £44.99, roughly 97% cheaper than usual.

If you’ve been after its 5th generation Echo Dot, the Alexa-backed speaker that does so much more than play music with its smart home capabilities and hands-free virtual assitant, Amazon’s discounts reduce it from £54.99 to £22.99 but when bought through TopCashback’s link this cuts the price to only £7.99.

Then there’s the Echo Pop, Amazon’s re-introduced device with its moon-like half speaker and half alarm clock face. Combining the two retailers deals (and crucially shopping through Top Cashback’s link) cuts this down to only £4.57. Although, shoppers will want to note they’ll have to wait sevn days for the cashback to appear, so it’s not an instant automatic saving.

It’s a huge week for consumers as well as Amazon and TopCashback a handful of retailers are starting to launch sales…maybe this is the start of the anticipation towards Black Friday. Debenham’s and Dunelm are two alternatives worth looking at.
