A young boy who went missing from a supermarket has been found, police have confirmed. Earlier today (Sunday October 6) Avon and Somerset Constabulary issued an urgent appeal for help after seven-year-old Jay was reported missing from a supermarket in Taunton.

The boy was reported missing at 3.30pm from the Asda store in Creechbarrow Road, in Taunton. Later, the force posted on X, formerly known as Twitter, to say that the boy had been found.

The post reads: “We are pleased to confirm seven-year-old Jay has been found safe and well. Thank you for everyone who shared our appeal and supported our enquiries.”
