A Toronto Police officer has been accused of stealing booze from a store.

Toronto Police allege a man went to a store at approximately 3:25 p.m. on Friday, took three bottles of alcohol and left with out paying.

Const. Daniel Leclerc, 39, was arrested and charged with theft under $5,000.

Police say Leclerc works out of 55 Division and has 18 years of service.

He has been suspended with pay according to the requirements of the Community Safety and Policing Act of Ontario.

TORONTO MAN ARRESTED FOE DEATH THREATS, ASSAULT

Toronto Police have arrested a man in an assault investigation following an alleged death threat and assault in the city’s east end.

Police said officers were called last Monday at approximately 7:15 a.m. for an assault in the area of Victoria Park Ave. and Dawes Rd.

According to police, the suspect and victim were inside a residence and the victim was allegedly threatened and assaulted.

On Friday, Terrence Allen, 57, of Toronto, was arrested and charged with assault cause bodily harm, assault – choking, assault with a weapon, forcible confinement, and utter threats cause death.

BRADFORD MAN CHARGED WITH IMPAIRED DRIVING

Police in York Region have charged a Bradford man with impaired driving after two people were seriously injured in a collision in Vaughan.

York Regional Police said officers were called just before 2 a.m. Saturday to a two-vehicle collision in the area of Jane St. and Major Mackenzie Dr.

According to police, two pedestrians were struck and injured in the collision.

Cops say a driver was arrested at the scene. Both pedestrians were taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Abdul Lodin, 46, has been charged with two counts of impaired operation cause bodily harm, two counts of dangerous operation cause bodily harm, and impaired operation – blood alcohol concentration 80 plus.
