LOSING COMBO STICKING AROUND

I heard a rumour that the Blue Jays’ division rivals are very happy with the Jays. Why, you ask? It’s because the president and general manager are again staying in their positions for the upcoming season, so the Jays again won’t be a threat in the division. Well, at least someone is happy.

(It’s becoming like the Maple Leafs — start to a good season, then it goes downhill, then missed playoffs again. Toronto fans deserve better)

HOT DOGS WON’T DO IT

Really, people, did you expect anything different from Jays president Mark Shapiro and GM Ross Atkins, aka Laurel and Hardy. Same old rhetoric from the worst GM in Major League history with 16 losing seasons with Cleveland and Toronto combined. But don’t get too disheartened he finally realizes we have to do better. Well, with our not-so-hands-on owner and these two, I don’t think a dollar hotdog on Tuesday is going to bring back the glory years of back-to-back World Series championships.

COMMERCIAL BREAK

If CBC gets more than a billion of our tax dollars, why do they still have so many commercials? (Asking for a friend.)

TUNNELLING FOR 100 YEARS

If construction of the Eglinton LRT is any indication, it may take 100 years to build a tunnel under Hwy. 401. It might be something George and Judy Jetson could use if those jet packs don’t pan out.

(Time and again it has been shown governments inability to get projects done. This proposal will be judged the same)
