Former Cabinet Secretary Grant Shapps has refused to rule out a return to politics, telling GB News he “hasn’t lost the itch”.
He told Eamonn Holmes and Isabel Webster he is backing James Cleverly for the Tory leadership, and is actually the chairman for his campaign.
Despite his passion for politics, Shapps admitted he is “enjoying” his freedom.
“I have a little more time for family and other things”, he said.
“But I haven’t lost the itch for politics. I like public service and I may come back in the future.”
