Three people were killed and three others injured in another violent night in the GTA.

A man was shot and killed in North York, a man was fatally stabbed at a west-end plaza, a triple shooting in Mississauga left one dead and two injured and a youth was shot and injured in the St. Lawrence area.

Toronto Police Duty Insp. Todd Jocko says the investigations are in their early stages.

“We know that the recent violence in Toronto is deeply concerning. Our officers are working around the clock to investigate these situations. You will see an increased police presence in these communities,” Jocko said to the media.

“We ask that anyone one with information to please contact police. Your safety is our top priority. We are committed to keeping communities safe and secure.”

The violence included one person being killed and two others sent to hospital after a shooting incident in the area of Central Pkwy. and Joan Dr in Mississauga Tuesday morning.

Toronto police are investigating a murder in North York late Monday night.

Police were called at 11:57 p.m. to the area of Allen Rd. and Lawrence Ave. for sounds of gunshots. A male victim had been shot and was found in a plaza parking lot.

Also, a victim suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries after a downtown shooting Monday evening in the area of The Esplanade and Berkeley St. Suspects were seen fleeing the area but there is no description.

A man has serious injuries after being shot in a Leaside laneway Tuesday morning. It happened around 1:04 a.m. in the area of Eglinton Ave. E and Laird Dr. The victim was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Finally, a man was fatally stabbed early Tuesday in the west end.

Police were called at 12:21 a.m. to the area of Jane St. and St. Clair Ave. and located a male victim outside a business who had been stabbed.
