Michael Schumacher’s former manager, Willi Weber, has emotionally admitted he doesn’t think he will ever see the F1 icon again.

Schumacher was represented by Weber after bursting onto the scene back in 1991, with the pair initially close friends before splitting in 2010.

The F1 icon lives his life away from the spotlight these days, having suffered serious injuries following a tragic skiing accident in 2013.

Schumacher hasn’t been seen since, with the German continuing his recovery from home – with only a few visitors permitted to see him.

Weber, speaking to BILD, says he wasn’t invited to the wedding of Schumacher’s daughter, Gina-Maria, over the weekend.

And he’s also expressed a belief that he won’t ever see the F1 legend again, too.

“I have had no contact with the family for over ten years,” said the 82-year-old. “I can barely remember what even happened.

“I was not invited to the wedding, but I wouldn’t have gone anyway because my health is not good at the moment.

“I would not have wanted to fly to Mallorca.”

Weber then added: “Michael was one of my best friends. More like a son that I never had.

“Nobody knows exactly what’s going on with him today, so I don’t want to comment any further.

Gina’s wedding brings back memories. I’m thinking about my successes with Michael – our goals and our victories.

“I remember Michael the way he was. And we probably won’t see each other again.”

Weber has previously admitted to regretting his decision to not fly immediately to France to see Schumacher after his tragic accident in 2013.

He has now doubled down, while also emotionally saying he’s said goodbye to the F1 legend ‘in his heart’ amid his belief they won’t ever see each other again.

“It was my fault that I didn’t visit Michael after the accident and stand by him,” he continued.
