Pop and R&B mogul Rihanna is blessing her fans again – but it’s not with her highly anticipated ninth album. Not only is the Bajan star known for her music but also for revolutionising the beauty industry.
Fenty Beauty is renowned for its diverse shade line, quality products and unique formula, but it is also avoided by some beauty lovers due to its expensive costs. However, Boots is now offering 25% off Fenty Beauty, Skin and Fragrance just in time for payday.
Not only will beauty lovers save a pretty penny on the singer’s high-quality makeup but she has collaborated with Boots to gift shoppers a free makeup bag with sample goodies when they spend £50 – but you need to act fast as this deal is due to end soon.
Embarrassingly for the past week, I have been scraping the last bits of foundation left in my tube as I counted down the days until payday. As a makeup lover (who is also on a budget) I tend to only buy any goodies when I really need them, but this was a complete crisis.
As soon as it hit midnight I headed to Boots to see what was on offer, to my surprise, Fenty Makeup had a glorious 25% off sale that I couldn’t say no to. I love Fenty Foundation as it offers the best coverage, it gives me the perfect glow and it’s been my trusty choice for 6 years now and has yet to let me down.
My go-to choice is the Fenty Beauty PRO FILT’R Hydrating Foundation which was £30 but is now £22 on sale. Fenty also offers a soft matte long-wear foundation, a skin tint, and a powdered foundation. You can’t possibly apply foundation without primer, Fenty Beauty Mini Pro Filt’r Mattifying Primer 15ml is now £12, down from £16.
Another massive hit is theFenty Beauty Gloss Bomb Heat Lip Luminizer and Plumper which has been a cult beauty favourite with its glossy, non-sticky feel that makes your lips shiny and volumptious. The gloss normally sells for £22 but is now £16.50.
After spending £80 on the site for foundation, primer, bronzer, and gloss, I received a free gift including a luxurious leather Fenty makeup bag with great storage. Inside included a sample of Rihanna’s perfume which has floral top notes and a musk base note that creates a divine expensive smell.
The gift bag also has a free lipstick casing in solid gold and a lipstick bullet to attach yourself – this is to ensure when your lipstick runs out you are not wasting money on packaging and you can pick and choose whatever colour you like to try next. Rihanna gifted two samples from her skincare line including a dark spot serum and a detox face mask.
My package from Boots arrived in just two days and I couldn’t help but try it, after spending 6 hours with a full face of Fenty Beauty, I did not have to retouch anything but the lip gloss (after I ate). The foundation is truly long wear and full coverage as it hid major dark spots on my face including my upper lip without having to use a colour corrector.
If you do not wish to buy foundation online, I would take advantage of purchasing the rest of her beauty line such as her mascara, eyeliner, highlighter and contour kits as well as her range of brushes and sponges. If you want to buy foundation or concealer but are unsure about what shade you should pick, the gift bag also includes a small sample of the foundation colour range.
Alternatively, LookFantastic is selling a NARS Mini Laguna Essential Bronzer & Lip Setworth £39 but is priced at £25.60. This is perfect for makeup beginners but if you’re interested in shopping the Fenty Beauty range then click here to find out more.
