Sarah Badshaw, 18, of Brampton, also known as the alleged “Porsche Girl” has been treated to a revolving door of Ontario justice this week.
She faced charges from Peel Police in a Brampton courtroom on Monday. Then, on Tuesday, she was arraigned on charges by Toronto Police. Badshaw was released on bail both times, with conditions such as staying away from her alleged accomplices. Peel Regional Police have since arrested four alleged accomplices and charged them with numerous criminal counts, reports The Toronto Sun. That includes two adults and two youths who can’t be identified under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
Badshaw was an alleged player in an auto theft scam. The suspects targeted the owners of luxury SUVs, said police. By posing as a presentable, well-dressed woman, say police, Badshaw allegedly set out to fool unsuspecting marks into thinking she was interested in buying their vehicles — before stealing them.
One of three incidents involving this ruse was videoed. That recording went viral internationally, with media as far away as India reporting on Badshaw’s escapades.

On Sept. 6, an auto theft in Mississauga’s Winston Churchill Blvd. – Eglinton Ave. Area. was caught on doorbell security video. It shows the owner being run over as his Porsche is reversed down his driveway.
Peel police confirmed the 18-year-old woman was arrested in connection with the incident captured on video. Badshaw turned herself in after investigators began circulating the video.
The stolen Porsche was recovered on Sept. 18, after it was located abandoned in Mississauga, said Peel Police.
Another incident involved police responding to an auto theft call on the afternoon of Sept. 11 in the Kipling Ave. and Rathburn Rd. Area.
They say a male and female suspect went to a home for a pre-arranged meeting to purchase the victim’s vehicle. The owner allowed them to get in the vehicle to inspect the interior and test the engine, according to police.
“(Then) the suspects started the vehicle and immediately drove it away.”
Police are still looking for a black 2021 BMW X6 with Ontario license plate CPXC183.
Subsequently, on the afternoon of Sept. 16, Toronto Police responded to a suspicious incident in the Dufferin St. and Yorkdale Rd. Area. They allege Badshaw and a male suspect met their intended victim in a parking lot for a pre-arranged meeting to purchase the victim’s vehicle.
This time, Badshaw seems to have acted nervously while asking to inspect the vehicle, said police. That alerted the victim that something might be up. So, the victim pulled out of the transaction.
Police say they are looking for at least one other suspect, a male described as South Asian with a thin build and a long black beard.
Badshaw is facing several charges laid by Peel and Toronto police, including theft of a motor vehicle, possession of property obtained by crime, operating a motor vehicle causing bodily harm and failure to remain after an accident resulting in bodily harm.
Her next court date in Toronto is Oct. 29. She’s scheduled to appear in a Brampton court on Oct. 23.
