York Regional Police are probing a “targeted” shooting early Thursday in King.

They say officers were called around 7:55 a.m. for the sounds of gunshots in the area of Bathurst St. and Bloomington Rd.

“An officer in the area was quick to respond and locate the source of the gunshots,” police said on X.

One male is in hospital with gunshot wounds. Cops said his “status is unknown.”

One person was arrested. No other information on the victim or suspect was provided.

Police said “the incident is targeted,” adding that “the call is still in its early stages and ongoing.”
