Claude Giroux has found out the hard way there isn’t always ‘no place like home’.
The Ottawa Senators veteran winger woke Wednesday morning to find out his car had been stolen from his home and he was having a difficult time getting hold of the police.
According to a post on X by Giroux’s wife, Ryanne, the car was taken and GPS showed it was still in the area, but they had been told they couldn’t report it to the Ottawa Police department until 10 a.m.
Ryanne was wondering if anybody else has dealt with this issue in the city and might be able to help.
“Good morning Ottawa!” she wrote. “@28CGiroux’s (Claude Giroux) car was stolen last night and is currently actively driving…Unable to get a hold of @OttawaPolice until 10 a.m … Looking for other suggestions/to hear from other people in Ontario who have sadly had to deal with this recently.”
Claude Giroux responded a few minutes later with a covered face emoji.
More to come …
