It’s British Food Fortnight – and what better way to celebrate than being in with a chance of winning a share of £1,000 to spend at Aldi?
We know everyone needs a helping hand at the moment, which is why five lucky winners could each be walking away with a cool £200 to spend at the discount retailer.
British Food Fortnight is the national celebration of the diverse and delicious food that Britain produces. And Aldi works with around five thousand British suppliers who now provide more than three quarters of all items sold in its stores.
This allows customers to shop for a variety of locally sourced products, including fruit, vegetables, meat, fish, milk, cider, and beer – knowing they are supporting homegrown producers. Aldi is the second largest retailer of fresh beef, the third largest in fruit and veg, and it sells more free-range British eggs and British apples than any other supermarket, too.
As part of its ongoing commitment to championing Great British quality and assisting UK producers, Britain’s fourth largest supermarket recently announced it is investing £3 billion with British beef suppliers over the next five years.
Julie Ashfield, managing director of buying at Aldi, said: “In celebration of British Food Fortnight, we’re encouraging even more of our customers to come in and stock up on British products by giving five lucky shoppers the chance to win Aldi vouchers. We’re excited to be working with so many amazing British businesses and are actively looking to bring even more on board in the years to come.”
