Princess Eugenie has opened up about her “mind-blowing experience” in a new interview.

The royal made the candid remarks during a conversation with The Anti-Slavery Collective, a charity she co-founded in 2017.

Eugenie, the youngest daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, shared her thoughts on parenting and its impact on her charitable work.

The princess, who has two young sons with her husband Jack Brooksbank, said: “Becoming a parent is the most special, mind-blowing experience of a person’s life.

“My children make my world go around. It’s made me hungrier to do the work.”

Eugenie expressed her desire to educate her children and young people about modern slavery, a cause close to her heart.

She stated: “I want to educate my children and all young people about being vulnerable, sensitive, and empathetic towards each other.

“I don’t want anyone to reach the age of 21 having not heard about modern slavery, like I did.”

The princess’s comments come during a challenging week for her family.

A new programme titled “A Very Royal Scandal” recently dropped on Amazon Prime, casting a negative light on her father, Prince Andrew.

It dramatised the Duke of York’s career-ending Newsnight interview from 2019, and showed how it impacted both Eugenie and her older sister, Princess Beatrice.

Despite the royal drama, Eugenie has chosen to focus on her charitable work and the positive impact of motherhood on her life and goals.

Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank have two sons, August, three, and Ernest, one.

The couple broke from royal tradition when announcing their children’s births, opting for a more modern approach via social media.

In February 2021, they shared a black and white photo on Instagram to introduce August Philip Hawke, born at The Portland Hospital in London.

Similarly, in May 2023, they announced the arrival of Ernest George Ronnie Brooksbank through social media.

The post featured a touching image of August gently placing his hand on his newborn brother’s head.

Eugenie’s role as a mother has also strengthened her commitment to environmental causes.

In a previous interview with Hello!, she shared: “Since August came into my life, it’s positively impacted my desire to do more.”

The princess emphasised how parenthood has shifted her priorities, stating: “You want to do everything you can for them – and for your grandchildren.”
