A man arrested in the death of a woman in Richmond Hill is now charged with murder.

On Saturday at 8:25 a.m., York Regional Police were called to a residence in the area of Gracedale Dr. and Shaftsbury Ave. for a welfare check. Officers located 60-year-old Xioamei Wang dead in the home.

Following a search, a suspect was arrested in Toronto later that day.

Henry Al, 23, of Richmond Hill is charged with second degree murder.

Police say there are no other suspects and the investigation is ongoing. They are looking for any video surveillance footage from the area between Sept. 20 at 5 p.m. and Sept. 21 at 9 a.m.

SPEEDING TOW TRUCK BUSTED

This tow truck driver has a lead foot.

On Monday night, Peel Regional Police say they stopped a tow truck driver travelling 106km/h in a 60km/h zone near Torbram Rd. and Queen St. in Brampton.

The driver was hit with a 14-day vehicle seizure and a 30-day licence suspension.
