Justin Timberlake will be one of the headline acts to perform at Belsonic 2025.

The US singer – famous for hits such as SexyBack and Cry Me A River – is the first big act announced for next summer’s festival.

He will perform at Belfast’s Ormeau Park on Thursday June 26.

Tickets go on sale this Friday.

Announcing the gig today, promoters said fans can expect to hear their favourite hit singles spanning across his entire catalogue alongside singles from his latest album Everything I Thought It Was.

Timberlake is a multi-talented entertainer, recording artist, record producer, songwriter and actor.

Throughout his career, he’s sold over 54 million albums and 63 million singles globally, and a further 70 million records as the lead vocalist of *NSYNC.

Timberlake has won 10 GRAMMY Awards across the pop, dance and R&B genres, including his successful solo albums Man of the Woods, The 20/20 Experience, FutureSex/LoveSounds, and his debut solo album, Justified – as well as his collaborations with Jay-Z.

Most recently, Timberlake released his sixth studio album Everything I Thought It Was, featuring 18 new tracks including hit singles “Selfish” and “No Angels.”

He is currently on his The Forget Tomorrow World Tour spanning over 50 cities, marking his return to the global stage after five years.

Earlier this month, Timberlake publicly apologised after pleading guilty in his drink-driving case in the US.

He was originally charged with driving while intoxicated, but appearing before a court in New York state he pleaded guilty to the less serious traffic offence of driving while impaired, which is non-criminal.

Timberlake was ordered to pay a $500 (£380) fine with a $260 (£200) surcharge, do 25 hours of community service and make a public safety announcement outside court.

“Even if you’ve had one drink don’t get behind the wheel of a car,” the singer said.

“This is a mistake I have made, but I hope whoever is watching and listening right now can learn from this. I know I certainly have.”

Timberlake dated US pop star Britney Spears from 1999 to 2002.

In her autobiography last year, The Woman in Me, Spears alleged he had told her to have an abortion as he “didn’t want to be a father”, and cheated on her with “another celebrity”.

The allegations sparked a social-media backlash.

But in January, Spears posted a clip of him singing his songs with Jimmy Fallon on NBC’s Saturday Night Live programme. Alongside the Instagram post, she wrote: “I wanna apologise for some of the things I wrote about in my book.”
