The Antrim Hurling Championship will see St Enda’s and St John’s clash at Pairc Rossa on Saturday (3.00pm) while Ballycastle and Dunloy will cross swords on Sunday at Loughgiel (2.00pm).

St Enda’s have been making steady progress with players such as Niall O’Connor, Joe Maskey, Cormac Jennings, Luke O’Connor and Eoin Conlon having been to the fore for the Glengormley side as they diligently charted their progress.

St John’s, though, are not lacking in experience or durability and these two assets could stand them in good stead on this occasion.

In Conor Johnston, Shea Shannon and Peter McCallin, St John’s boast three seasoned warriors while in Conall Morgan they have a player who is very capable of turning a game in their favour.

Meanwhile, the clash between McQuillans and Cuchullains promises to be an explosive battle given the quality contained in both sides coupled with their shared ability to produce a scoring bonanza.

The Ballycastle outfit have been unable to achieve a great level of consistency but if they get into their stride quickly they could make things difficult for Dunloy.

In Conor Boyd, Ciaran Butler, Ronan McCarry, Tiarnan Smyth, Orann Donnelly and James McShane, Ballycastle have players who are capable of making life difficult for opponents while Dunloy will look to Conor McKinley, Kevin Molloy, Nigel Elliott, Keelan Molloy, Paul Shiels and Deaglan Smith to keep them in contention.

The Down Senior Hurling Championship offers a particularly attractive triple treat on Sunday with Liatroim and Ballycran going head-to-head at Carryduff (3.00pm) while Ballygalget will take on Bredagh at Teconnaught (3.00pm).

Reigning champions Portaferry, meanwhile, will confront Carryduff at Downpatrick (5.00pm).
