A brand new bubble tea bar set to open in the city soon will reportedly be the first in Bristol to serve alcoholic bubble tea drinks. Tipsy Tapioca‘s new venue will be located on Broad Quay, and will serve up a range of “alcoholic bubble teas that are as fun as they are delicious”, according to their Instagram Stories on Thursday, September 19.

Some of the names on the line-up, showcased via the Instagram Stories function on the social media platform – and illustrated as sweet cartoon characters – include ‘Pink Picasso’, ‘Granddaddy Purple’, and ‘Sexy Peach’.

The brand, which has only been a registered business for some six months, according to Companies House, added that it would be serving up a variety of drinks – from the fruity kind, to ‘green tea combos’, and “packed with bubbles and your favourite spirits”.

The new bar, while having not yet confirmed an opening date at time of writing, will be found next to Pieminister in the Centre, in the former home of a printing shop. As of yet, the brand’s Instagram page contains no posts, but it seems to be sharing sneak peeks and updates via its Stories.

Bristol is no stranger to bubble tea shops and cafes, with those currently found in the city – CUPP, Bubbleology, and Jo’s Tea, being just a few of them – already extremely popular with locals.
