Kate Winslet has opened up about her sex life.

More specifically, the Oscar winner has revealed exactly what she did to get her groove back: She underwent testosterone replacement therapy to feel “sexy” again.

Winslet appeared on a recent episode of the How to Fail podcast and was asked for tips from a caller on how one can rediscover their sex drive.

The Titanic star ‘fessed up to the prescription-based treatment, known as TRT, which helps restore testosterone levels, and advised women whose sexual desire has decreased, the reason isn’t always obvious.

“Sometimes women have a real dip in libido because there might be stuff going on with their thyroid,” she explained. “There could also be stuff going on with your level of testosterone.”

While TRT seems like it would be centred around men, Winslet explained that’s not always the case.

“A lot of people don’t know this but women have testosterone in their body,” she explained. “When it runs out, like eggs, it’s gone, and once it’s gone you have to replace it.”

She added: “That is something that can be done and you’ll feel sexy again. I know.”

The 48-year-old suggested the woman caller have her “thyroid levels checked” along with her testosterone levels “because those things could have a direct impact on how you’re actually feeling.”

She also insisted that women should not blame themselves for the changes they and their bodies are going through.

“It’s not your fault, our bodies are weird, and they behave in strange ways, especially as we get older,” Winslet said.

“So there could be a dip in those hormonal levels for you that is contributing much more than you think to how you’re feeling about having sex with your boyfriend, so I would definitely go ahead and do that.”

Winslet, who has been married to Edward Abel Smith since 2012, added that she believes women get hotter as they age — and no, not just due to menopause and the hot flashes that often get associated with it.

When host Elizabeth Day asked how Winslet felt about her body now, the actress replied, “I’m great with it – I think I look flipping amazing.”

She noted: “We have to own it, this is the thing.”

The Mare of Easttown star added: “I think women — as they get older — get juicier and sexier and more embedded in their truth of who they are and more powerful, more able to walk through the world and care less, and that is an empowering thing.”
