A PSNI spokesperson said: “The Westlink is closed at its junction with the Grosvenor Road, Westbound near Roden Street due to a road traffic collision this morning, Monday 16th September.

Co Fermanagh road closed due to fire at derelict hotel

The Forthill Street road in Enniskillen is currently closed due to a fire at a derelict hotel. The PSNI and fire service are in attendance. The PSNI has urged the public to avoid the area and seek alternative routes for their journey. Forthill Street is likely to be closed for some time while emergency services deal with this incident.

A Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service (NIFRS) Spokesperson said:NIFRS crews are currently dealing with an ongoing incident at Forthill Street, Enniskillen.  At present there are nine fire appliances and 43 personnel carrying out firefighting operations. We would advise members of the public to avoid the area where possible and nearby homeowners to keep their windows and doors closed.”

Bushmills crash

The Priestland Road has been closed in both directions between the Ballybogey Road and Bushmills following a one-vehicle road traffic collision. Road users are asked to seek an alternative route for their journey.

Traffic is already busy in the Portrush area on the A2 Ballyreagh Road in both directions, the A29 Coleraine Road towards Portrush and the Portstewart Road towards Portrush as spectators head to the NI International Air Show 2024.

NI International Air Show travel advice

The NI International Air Show 2024, organised by Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council, will welcome spectators to the seaside town of Portrush on Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 September for two days of aviation attractions and family fun.
To mark the return of the hugely popular event, it is moving to a new location along the coast, starting from Ballyreagh Golf Course to West Bay in Portrush, offering visitors panoramic views and a chance to get prime viewing of the attractions in the sky.
Full details of the event, including parking, can be found at Air Show NI 2024.
Lane closure: A2 Portstewart Road, Portrush 
In place on Saturday and Sunday between 11am and 6pm, to facilitate traffic control, along with traffic lights in operation to facilitate pedestrians crossing the carriageway during the event.

Heavy traffic is expected and motorists are advised to allow extra time for their journey.
