A young French bulldog snatched from its teen owner in west Windsor has been returned home safely.

Roughly four hours after issuing a plea for the public’s help locating puppy Rustin on Monday, Windsor police reported the four-month-old canine found.

Police are still on the lookout for two male suspects who allegedly threatened Rustin’s owner with bear spray, grabbed the dog, and fled the scene on foot. The incident happened shortly after 3 a.m. on Sunday.

Later that day, officers arrested a 15-year-old girl in the 3400 of Wells Street and charged her with robbery and assault with a weapon. Her identity is protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

One of the remaining suspects has been identified, police said. A warrant for his arrest has been requested.

Police describe the other outstanding suspect as a white male with a moustache. He may be named Ethan. At the time of the robbery, he wore a red hooded sweater and jeans.
