Imani Evans from Tempting Fortune has broken her silence following the fiery dispute as the latest series of the Channel 4 show started.
In the most recent episode, viewers watched as Imani butted heads with other contestants, Vicki and Sam, after she talked about spending money on temptations. The confrontation escalated as Imani gave in to first temptation of the series on the very first night in the form of a £1,200 luxury bed.
During an exclusive interview with The Mirror, Imani reflected on her controversial tactics in the game. “It was quite horrific for me, to be honest,” she said.
Discussing her early unpopularity in the contest, Imani said: “I knew that was gonna be the case because I think when you have a lot of confidence and, and you’re able to stand alone, automatically people get their back up, especially if they don’t possess those qualities.”
“So I knew that I wasn’t going to be the most popular with the decisions that I was making but I didn’t care. I didn’t go on there for popularity. I went on there for an incredible experience, and I’m the type of person where if someone ruffles my feathers, I’m going to ruffle back 10 times harder,” reports the Mirror.

Imani said viewers can expect even more turbulence ahead in the series, adding: “That’s literally the tip of the iceberg. It’s way more dramatic than that. And me personally, I didn’t think that it could get worse because it was such a dramatic entrance. I’ve only been in the jungle for 5 minutes, and it was already fireworks.”
“So I didn’t think it could get worse, but I’m not kidding when I tell you it gets 10 times worse and yes, I am involved with most of that.”
Talking about her strategy regarding the hefty £300,000 prize money, Imani explained her approach to the competition saying: “I said that I went in there to have an amazing experience, but also to challenge myself, and that’s exactly what I did. I was always gonna take some temptations, but I was also gonna turn down some temptations.

“So I feel like I was very true to myself and people will see that. Exactly what I said I was gonna do is exactly what I did throughout and then obviously, in the beginning, I was taking the temptations because I just thought, if you guys are gonna be mean to me, then I’m literally going to make you pay for it in a very literal sense.”
She added: “I have no regrets about that. I wish I’d actually spent more, to be honest.”
Imani shared details about her stint on a dating show almost a decade ago, hosted by Holly Willoughby. “I was on a dating show which was very interesting with Holly Willoughby,” she said.
“It was called Meet the Parents. It was kind of like Blind Date but with your parents talking to the guy. It was absolutely hilarious, amazing. I didn’t end up getting the date with the guy, which I was fuming about because I just like to win. I didn’t really like him but I thought it would be fun to win the date.”
