A new MacBook Air has hit the market, and it might be time to consider an upgrade. The latest offering from Apple is a standout device, boasting a powerful M4 processor housed in its sleek aluminium frame. As the newest laptop in Apple’s stock it’s no surprise that the cost is expensive, but one retailer is offering shoppers a way to split the cost.
Currently, Sky Mobile is offering this new device for £22 per month, with an upfront fee of £2. They’re even throwing in a 100MB data SIM at no extra cost as part of the deal.
Compared to previous launches, Apple has even reduced the price this year, with the starting cost now £999 – a saving of £100 compared to last year’s M3 model. The new Air is a robust choice for anyone seeking a new MacBook without opting for the Pro version. However, the steep £999 price tag does leave consumers looking for a more affordable way to shop.

Splitting the cost into more affordable monthly payments is an affordable option for new high-end tech products, and as well as the lesser impact on the wallet it allows shoppers to combine a new device payment and data bundle into one concise bill.
As more UK retailers add the device to its stock Amazon’s upfront rate currently beats Apple for upfront shoppers – those who don’t want to lock into a pay-per-month plan. It’s cut £100 off the new 15-ich MacBook Air model. Retailers like Very, Argos, and Currys are also peddling the spiffy new Air, not to mention the deals on last year’s M3 Air floating about, but their prices don’t offer a saving. As the model matches Apple’s rate.

Having covered a lot of Sky’s deals we do know that their plans are lengthy. Which is one downside to their more affordable price options – shoppers will need to commit to a lengthy 48-month contract.
The total cost amounts to a little over £1,050, which isn’t significantly more than purchasing directly from Apple, plus there’s data included in this price. On the other hand, Apple’s rate is only for the device.
Apple fans might hesitate on the latest deal if they’re stuck with an older MacBook they’d like to offload. Until April 2, Apple is tempting customers with a trade-in offer that could lessen the blow to your wallet. As the site says: “Get credit towards a new Mac when you trade in your eligible computer.”
However, keep in mind this version doesn’t boast the same oomph, nor does it come with the updated camera or fresh colour options. It also comes with an increased standard RAM of 16GB (up from the previous 8GB), an enhanced camera featuring innovative Centre Stage technology, and is available in an eye-catching new Sky Blue shade.
The laptop retains all the familiar features such as a crystal-clear display, extended battery life, comfortable keyboard, and the industry-leading Force Touch trackpad.
