LookFantastic has been offering shoppers a delightful alternative to chocolate with their beauty Easter Egg for nine years, with their 2025 option containing another impressive selection. Similar to the retailer’s popular advent calendar, the beauty egg is predicted to sell out due to its impressive contents and significant savings.

This year’s egg includes seven high-end beauty products from some of the industry’s most renowned brands, including Elemis, Medik8 and Rodial. Priced at £60, it offers an astonishing value of £205.50, meaning customers save over £145 on the contents, making it one of the best-value beauty hauls of the season.

As reported by the Mirror, it has maintained the same price for three years, with values ranging from £200 to £206. In 2022, it was pricier at £65, so regular buyers will appreciate the more affordable price point.

However, if you’re seeking something a bit more budget-friendly, Glossybox’s Easter Egg for 2025 is worth considering. Valued at £198 and priced at £45, it’s a fantastic option for those on a tighter budget, being £15 cheaper than LookFantastic, without sacrificing too much on the overall value. It includes popular brands like Iconic London, Rodial, e.l.f and more.

Elsewhere, Rituals has already introduced its own version of the trend with its £37.50 offerings. Although nothing is confirmed, Boots has released similar limited edition Easter-themed edits in recent years, so it’s worth keeping an eye out for something exciting from the health and beauty retailer as well.

Beauty writer Bethan Shufflebotham took a closer look at the LookFantastic beauty egg and discovered it’s easy to understand why it’s an irresistible Easter gift, particularly for luxury skincare and makeup enthusiasts. One standout product in the box is the Medik8 Vitamin C Tetra Serum, which ranks among Bethan’s top five skincare products.

Valued at £39 on its own, the serum provides a powerful dose of stabilised vitamin C to brighten and even out skin tone while offering antioxidant protection. Its texture sets it apart from other vitamin C formulas – it’s lightweight yet luxurious, making it a pleasure to use.

While five of the seven products are full-size, one of the deluxe sizes is actually the most valuable when bought individually. The Elemis Pro-Collagen Night Cream is priced at £43, and together with the Medik8 serum, they surpass the cost of the box by £22, essentially making the rest of the items free.

Elemis is renowned for its high-performance formulas, and this cream is no exception. It deeply hydrates and firms the skin overnight, resulting in a plumper, smoother complexion by morning.

The makeup additions include a £27 Anastasia Beverly Hills Lash Sculpt Mascara, which promises length and definition without clumping, and the ICONIC London Luscious Glow Baked Highlighter, priced at £28. Despite its undeniable quality and gorgeous glow, Bethan recently received an ICONIC London highlighter in another beauty egg, so this LookFantastic highlighter may not get used but could make a perfect gift for a friend.

Bethan reports that she’s particularly excited to try the Color Wow Money Mist, having heard fantastic reviews, as well as the Rodial Original Lip Oil with Collagen, ideal for maintaining hydrated and glossy lips as the weather warms up. The only product she is not keen on is the Sol de Janeiro Delícia Drench Body Butter.

She previously had a full-sized version of this body product and found it ‘too thick’. She wasn’t a fan of the fragrance, preferring the original Sol de Janeiro Bum Bum Cream. A bonus sachet sample of the Bum Bum Cream was tucked inside which Bethan says was ‘a nice surprise’.
