Good Morning Britain’s Susanna Reid caused quite a stir among viewers with her choice of attire on the ITV show this Monday (March 17).

Susanna, along with co-presenter Richard Madeley, delivered the day’s top stories to the audience, which included several guests.

The studio was bustling with activity as Ranvir Singh provided regular news updates, I’m a Celebrity’s Melvin Odoom stepped in for the entertainment segment, and Richard Arnold enjoyed a holiday break.

But it was Susanna’s “unusual” red dress, featuring an unexpected splash of purple on its upper right side, that captured the audience’s attention.

Social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter) lit up with comments from viewers who likened the quirky colour addition to a paint stain, reports the Manchester Evening News.

One viewer remarked, “Susanna’s outfit is bizarre,” while another couldn’t help but comment: “I can’t stop looking at Susanna. Not a great outfit choice today.”

Jokes abounded, with one fan suggesting, “Susanna’s pen leaked in her shirt pocket?” and another quipping, “Did I miss someone running on and throwing a pot of paint on Susanna’s dress?”

However, not all feedback was critical; some fans expressed their admiration for the dress, with one saying, “I actually really like the dress.”

Another enthused, “Very abstract. Isn’t she dreamy,” clearly taken with Susanna’s look.

In other segments of today’s GMB, Richard and Susanna discussed Ofcom’s new authority to tackle illegal online content and the government’s reconsideration of a freeze on disability benefits.

The presenters also discussed the much-anticipated Disney blockbuster Snow White, which will premiere on March 21 after a year of delay due to the SAG-AFTRA strike.

Disney’s choice to skip an official London premiere for the film has certainly turned some heads in recent weeks.

This comes after enduring months of fan backlash, with many branding the movie as “woke”.

Good Morning Britain airs weekdays on ITV1 and ITVX at 6am
