A woman in her 60s, who was treated by paramedics in a Bristol pub car park on Saturday (March 15), has died.
Police have confirmed that officers attended the scene at the car park of The Mill House pub on Shirehampton Road, where they reviewed CCTV footage and enquiries are ongoing.
The cause of death is being treated as unexplained, but the force says that at this time the circumstances surrounding the woman’s death are not believed to be suspicious.
After receiving treatment at the scene, the woman was transported to Southmead Hospital, where she later died.
A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police told BristolLive: “Enquiries are taking place on behalf of the coroner following the sudden death of a woman in Bristol yesterday (Saturday 15 March). The woman, who is in her 60s, was treated by paramedics in a pub car park in Shirehampton Road, Sea Mills and taken to Southmead Hospital where she sadly died.
“We were informed at about 12.50pm and officers attended the pub car park yesterday, where they carried out enquiries and reviewed CCTV footage. The cause of death is being treated as unexplained, but at this time the circumstances are not believed to be suspicious. Our thoughts are with the woman’s family.”
One eyewitness told Bristol Live the pub’s car park had been cordoned off by police for most of yesterday.
