Ryan O’Donoghue responds with a two point free before Aidan O’Shea punches a score over. O’Donoghue kicks another from play then to level the game up.
Another injury concern for Derry as their replacement goalie Neil McNicholl is down after backing into the crossbar in his bid to reach Ryan O’Donoghue’s last point. He’s back up and is playing on.

Keeper Odhran Lynch is forced off with an injury, with Neil McNicholl coming onto replace him. Lynch walked gingerly off the field.
Derry 1-2 Mayo 0-4 (15 mins)
Dan Higgins catches Odhran Lynch’s long kick-out, leaping high into the sky. He finds Patrick McGurk who moves at pace, playing a quick one-two with Niall Loughlin.
The young half back finishes expertly to score the game’s first goal.
Derry 1-1 Mayo 0-2 (10 mins)
Cork’s clash with Louth has even bigger bearings with the loser staring Tailteann Cup football in the face this summer.
Paddy Tally admits a lot will have to go in Derry’s favour to avoid relegation from Division One. They need to win their last two games, with other results going their way to avoid the drop.
But the Derry manager says today’s clash with Mayo is all about performing well in front of their home crowd in Celtic Park.
“Things would have to fall for us in a lot of ways [to avoid relegation.] For us, today is about a performance, and getting the best out of ourselves in front of the Derry supporters.”
