From the end of March holidaymakers can travel direct to a city of “culture and cuisine” direct from Bristol Airport. Beginning March 31, travellers will be able to fly to Naples, as a range of summer destinations return to Bristol Airport.

EasyJet will be offering up to six flights a week, departing on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. The airline tells travellers: “The city’s history, cuisine and beauty rival many other destinations in Italy.”

“For all sorts of visitors, Naples holidays promise some of the best sightseeing, eating and shopping around.” Currently, EasyJet is offering three-day breaks for as little as £185pp, according to their website.

“As one of the oldest inhabited cities in the world, Naples boasts ruins that date back to Ancient Greece and Rome, and a fabulous collection of Baroque churches and palaces dot the city,” the airline continues. “Its location made it an important port town, and once the richest city in Europe. Today, it’s still a hub of activity and Italy’s third largest city, with excellent museums and cultural institutions, including the world’s oldest opera house.”

But perhaps most importantly, Naples is “the birthplace of the pizza”, with tourists “almost duty bound to sample a few local specialities.” “Its gorgeous seafront and the tangle of streets in the older quarters will enchant all visitors on holidays to Naples,” claims EasyJet.

Naples is one of TripAdvisor’s Travelers’ Choice destinations for food, ranking fourth in Europe, with Rome taking the number one spot, followed by London and Paris. Tripadvisor said: “This award is our highest recognition and is presented annually to those businesses that are the Best of the Best on Tripadvisor, those that earn excellent reviews from travellers and are ranked in the top one per cent of properties worldwide.”

Southern Italy’s largest city comes strongly recommended. With incredible food on offer as well as endless culture to absorb, such as it historic centre, which is UNESCO World Heritage site. There are also unmissable ancient buildings and sculptures as well as museums to visit. And of course, plenty of sunny strolls to be had.

You can book flights or a holiday direct with EasyJet, and you have until October 2025 to visit the stunning city this year, before it gets taken off the departures board until 2026.
