Lisnagarvey could reach a second consecutive Irish Senior Cup Final as they take on Monkstown in the last four on Saturday.

The reigning champions remain on course for a treble this season as they also remain in the EYHL title race and Kirk Cup Semi-Finals.

In the previous round, goals from James Lorimer, Matthew Aughey and Oliver Kidd saw Garvey beat EYHL title rivals Three Rock Rovers 3-2 at Comber Road, making them firm favourites to win the competition with Banbridge also eliminated.

They now face Monkstown for a spot in the Final with the Dubliners in the midst of an inconsistent season.

Mid-table in the EYHL, the side have won six and lost five, having beaten Cork Harlequins 4-2 in the Quarter-Finals.

The Semi-Final clash sees the sides meet for a second week running with Lisnagarvey having won last weekend’s clash 2-0 with goals from John Cunningham and Andrew Edgar.

In the EYHL2, Cookstown travel to face Railway Union in Dublin as they continue their promotion push.

The mid-Ulster men have made a promising start to life in the competition, unbeaten after their opening four games and second in the group with a game in hand of first place Cork Church of Ireland.

They now face a Railway Union side who they beat 3-1 on matchday one with goals from Greg Allen (2) and Mark Cuddy.

A win could see them move top of the group with just one game remaining whilst they have already earned their spot in the knockout stages.

Opponents Railway Union come into the weekend bottom of the group, without a win and having most recently lost 5-3 to Kilkenny last weekend.

In Belfast, Harlequins are looking to continue their fine form in the Men’s Premier League as they face Queen’s University at The Dub.

Quins are unbeaten in their last five League outings and have won three on the trot with victories over PSNI, North Down and Bangor.

Last weekend’s 8-1 victory over the newly crowned Anderson Cup champions saw Matthew Gray continue his excellent recent form, netting five on the day and making it eight goals in his last three games.

Opponents Queen’s University also come into the tie off the back of an impressive victory, beating North Down 6-4 with Ben Law scoring four.

A win for the students could see them climb as high as third in the table with the four sides chasing the final EYHL2 place coming into the weekend separated by just two points.
