Former Strictly Come Dancing star James Jordan has revealed he will never return to the show or Dancing on Ice as a dancer.
The 47-year-old made the candid admission 13 years after leaving BBC’s Strictly as a professional dancer.
Jordan cited physical limitations and respect for younger dancers as key reasons behind his decision.
His comments come as Dancing on Ice faces an uncertain future, with speculation mounting that the show could be cancelled.

The 17th series of the ITV skating competition concluded on Sunday amid reports of declining ratings.
Jordan explained that dance has evolved significantly since his departure from Strictly.
“I love watching the younger pros create beautiful performances,” he told The Mirror.
“Dance itself has evolved – it’s more acrobatic, more demanding. My body wouldn’t be able to do a lot of what they do now, and that’s just part of life.”

He compared his situation to skating legends Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean stepping away from performing.
“I don’t want to be compared to today’s pros – I’m almost twice their age, and my body simply won’t do what it used to,” Jordan admitted.
The former dancer acknowledged the natural physical limitations that come with ageing.
Despite ruling out a professional return, Jordan expressed interest in a more casual comeback.
“I’d never return as a professional, but I’d love to go back on Dancing on Ice for a little skate,” he said.
“I still enjoy it, though I’d need a fair bit of practice first! Maybe I’d do a show dance or something fun.”
Jordan reflected on the physical demands of his earlier career.
“I remember how much I pushed my body in my 20s and 30s, and now, approaching 50, there’s just no way I could keep up with that level.”

Jordan’s comments come amid reports that Dancing on Ice could be facing cancellation.
Sources told The Mirror that there are “very real fears this is the end of the road” for the show.
“It’s had a good run for nearly 20 years and has a very loyal set of viewers who really love it but the sad truth is there’s just not enough of them,” one insider revealed.
Staff reportedly believe the format has become “tired” and may need to be “rested and given a new lease of life”.
Production costs are also under scrutiny, with questions over whether ITV is “getting bang for its buck”.
An ITV spokesperson said: “No decision has been made” on the show’s future.”
