A heartbroken Bristol couple have launched a GoFundMe campaign to raise money to give their cat Dolly a ‘beautiful send off’. Tiffany Branton and her partner Richard have started the campaign after Dolly was “tragically hurt and killed by a speeding driver” on Portview Road in Avonmouth on the weekend.
In the GoFundMe’s description, Tiffany writes: “Sadly Dolly our sweety-pie never survived the injuries she sustained. Dolly was only six years old, still young for a cat.”
She adds: “Life without Dolly is very hard and [we] are struggling to accept the loss of Dolly. Our cat was more than a friend, Dolly was our lovely angel that showed us love and kindness… Now Dolly is not here anymore it’s unbearable and very emotional to know I have to live life without my fur baby.
“If anyone can help us to give Dolly a beautiful send off, myself, Richard and Dolly’s brother Tiggy will be forever thankful to you.” The couple have set a target of raising £500 – you can find the GoFundMe page and donate here.
Tiffany’s partner Richard shared an appeal to a local missing pets Facebook page on March 10 to say that Dolly had been missing since the previous Saturday. The post included photos of the cherished family member, with Richard writing: “My cat Dolly, a domestic short hair, female and microchipped, has been missing since Saturday daytime.
“If anyone sees her around the Avonmouth area, please call… A very healthy reward will be given to whom sees Dolly. Please look around your gardens and sheds.”
