Prince William erupted into celebration during a historic night at Villa Park as Aston Villa reached the Champions League quarter-finals.
The Birmingham based team took a 3-1 lead from the first-leg into Wednesday’s evenings match after last week’s victory in Belgium.
Aston Villa started the game slowly but were given a boost when Club Brugge had a man sent off just 16 minutes into the first-half.
Villa changed gear in the second-half and scored two quick-fire goals before adding a third to win the match 3-0.

The result meant Aston Villa won the tie 6-1 on aggregate and will now face Paris Saint Germain in the quarter-finals.

The Prince of Wales stopped off at Aston Villa’s training ground to speak with the players on Tuesday.
William was on his way to a royal engagement when he met with the Villa players.
The royal took to social media to share pictures of the meeting along with a message of support for the team.
William wrote on Instagram: “Great to pop in to see @avfcofficial yesterday ahead of tonight’s Champions League game!”
He added: “Up the Villa!” which is term used by Aston Villa fans to express support for the club.
