Prince William has confirmed his plans to head to France next month for Aston Villa’s historic Champions League quarter-final with Paris Saint Germain.
The Prince of Wales was at Villa Park on Wednesday evening to see the Birmingham-based football club comfortably defeat Belgian side Club Brugge to reach the last eight of the competition.
As William was leaving the stadium he appeared to confirm to journalists that he would be heading to Paris for the first leg of the Champions League quarter-final.
The Prince of Wales said: “See you in Paris” as he walked to his car.

Prince William travelled to Monaco earlier this season to watch Villa take on AS Monaco earlier in this season’s Champions League.
The royal is also expected to attend the second leg of the quarter-final against PSG which will be hosted at Villa Park.
On Wednesday afternoon, Prince William issued a message of support to Aston Villa ahead of their major Champions League clash against Belgian side Club Brugge.
The Prince of Wales stopped off at Aston Villa’s training ground to speak with the players on Tuesday.

William was on his way to a royal engagement when he met with the Villa players.
The royal took to social media to share pictures of the meeting along with a message of support for the team.
William wrote on Instagram: “Great to pop in to see @avfcofficial yesterday ahead of tonight’s Champions League game!”
He added: “Up the Villa!” which is a term used by Aston Villa fans to express support for the club.
