Michelle Keegan and Mark Wright have welcomed their first child, a baby girl named Palma Elizabeth Wright – with his former Towie star sister Jessica Wright penning a sweet message to her brother.
Former Coronation Street actress Keegan, 37, and her husband, 38, announced the arrival of their daughter, who was born on March 6, 2025, sharing the news on their Instagram yesterday.
Keegan and Wright only shared their pregnancy news back in December 2024, with a beach photo showing Keegan’s baby bump.
Yesterday, the couple announced the birth with a touching black and white photo showing them holding hands with their newborn daughter, whose face was left out of the image, wearing a bonnet.
They captioned the post: “Together we have a new love to share… Our little girl. Palma Elizabeth Wright. 06.03.25,” alongside a white heart emoji.
The name Palma has Spanish origins and means “palm tree, honey and sweetness”.

The couple had kept their pregnancy relatively private after first sharing the news at the end of December, with Keegan often wearing baggier clothing if she posted on her Instagram.
As soon as the couple announced their news, it didn’t take long for the Wright clan, along with their friends and fans, to issue their congratulations and well wishes to the couple.
Wright’s sister Jess shared an emotional tribute on her Instagram Stories after the announcement, which read: “Most beautiful addition to our family. I finally have a niece, and I am so in love.”
She also left a simple comment underneath the initial post by Keegan and Wright, which read: “My angel niece. Love you so much already, my girlie.”
Wright’s father, Mark Sr, commented: “Grandad’s little living doll, absolutely beautiful, love you so much Palma,” before his mother Carol Wright added: “We are in love with you beautiful baby girl, thank you Michelle and Mark for this wonderful gift.”
His younger sister Natalya Wright also wrote: “Our amazingly perfect girlie. Auntie & uncle love you so so much baby girl xxxxxxx”
Wright’s cousin and former Towie star Elliott Wright wrote: “Can’t wait to meet her xxx”.
Many of their celebrity friends also shared the love, with Fitness expert Joe Wicks commenting: “Ffs I’m crying over here. I know how much you’ve wanted to be a dad, and you’ll be an amazing dad, too.”
Natalie Anderson, who starred alongside Keegan in Netflix’s Fool Me Once, said: “Oh, what beautiful news! Congratulations to you both darling.”
Inbetweeners actress Emily Atack added: “This is wonderful news. Love the name, too. Congrats, guys.” (sic)

Wright and Keegan have been married since 2015, after beginning their relationship in December 2012.
In February, Wright opened up about becoming a father during an interview on The One Show and said: “Very exciting times ahead. Little bit nerve-wracking, but I’m ready. I’m excited.”
