St Patrick’s Day is almost here once again, and Guinness fans have been snapping up a Nitrosurge bundle that is currently on sale at Amazon. The retail giant has cut the price of the Guinness Nitrosurge Starter Pack Device and Cans Bundle to £47.

While not the most substantial discount from the usual £50.50, the deal includes 10 pint cans of Guinness Nitrosurge and the Nitrosurge device – which typically retails for £30 to buy separately. Tesco Clubcard holders can currently snag the device for £25, but Amazon offers a variety of mix-and-match Guinness bundles that can include Nitrosurge cans and official pint glasses.

For those who might be unfamiliar, the Guinness Nitrosurge is a portable gadget that attaches to specially designed Guinness cans, ensuring a perfect pour wherever you are. It uses ultrasonic technology to create nitrogen bubbles, crafting a perfectly domed pint worthy of any Irish pub.

To achieve the perfect pint, simply attach the device to the top of an open Nitrosurge can, press the button to activate the ultrasonic transducer, and pour at a 45-degree angle. Once the glass is two-thirds full, allow it to settle before filling the glass to the brim – just as they do in the pub.

However, bear in mind that the Nitrosurge device must be used with specially designed Guinness Nitrosurge cans and will not work with regular cans or other drinks. The Guinness Nitrosurge has achieved a 4.5-star rating after 1,700 Amazon reviews, with 89% of these being four or five-star ratings, reports the Express.

One happy customer said: “Best home pint. I will only drink Nitrosurge Guinness in the house now. Nitrosurge is a must for Guinness lovers, great taste like a draught poured pint.”

Another joined in with their praise: “Perfect Guinness at home. It’s really very good. Much better than I thought. It’s as good as any Guinness I’ve had and better than quite a few pubs. I have been drinking Guinness for years and this is really worth it. The Nitrosurge Cans are great too as they are an actual pint size.”

Not all feedback was glowing, as a less impressed customer added: “This is in my opinion overpriced for what it does, which is just give a pint a slightly better head, would be better if it worked with all Guinness cans, at least then it would be worth the price.”

But another satisfied shopper added: “I’ll admit I was sceptical when I bought the Guinness Nitrosurge Device. As an Irish person, I’ve always believed you can’t beat a proper pint of Guinness in the Emerald Isle, it just doesn’t travel well. But I was pleasantly surprised. I was actually happy with how my pint turned out, smooth, creamy, and surprisingly close to the real thing. Cheers to technology making great pints possible wherever you are.”
