Emma Raducanu has deleted her Instagram account just weeks after suffering a terrifying stalker ordeal.
The British tennis star had amassed three million followers on the platform before taking the decision to deactivate her page.
The 22-year-old was targeted by a “fixated” fan during the Dubai Open in February.
Raducanu was left in tears when she spotted her stalker just two points into her round of 32 match in Dubai.

Raducanu later dropped charges against the man, but he has signed a restraining order requiring him to stay away from her.
He is also banned from future WTA tennis events.
It was revealed that the British women’s No 2 had been dealing with this stalker for three months prior to the Dubai incident.
Despite the ordeal, Raducanu insisted she did not want to take a break from competing and returned to action at the Indian Wells Masters in California this month.
The world No.61 travelled with extra security detail for the WTA 1000 tournament.
However, her comeback was short-lived as she was defeated 6-3, 6-2 by Japanese player Moyuka Uchijima in the first round.

It remains unclear whether Raducanu’s decision to delete her Instagram was directly related to her stalker ordeal or something else.
Weeks before deactivating her account, she had changed her bio to the Latin phrase “Ad astra per aspera.”
The phrase translates to “to the stars through hardships,” perhaps reflecting her recent challenges.
